Many people want to buy smartphones with advanced cameras, fast processors and powerful batteries at a relatively low cost. And so, as in many countries around the world, the mid-range smartphone market is quite competitive in Bangladesh as well. Keeping this in mind, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor launched the ‘X9D’ model smartphone made in Bangladesh in January.
Design
After taking it in hand, the first thing I noticed was that the phone is quite durable. The matte finish back panel does not leave many fingerprints on the phone. With an
IP68 and IP69K rating, the phone is safe from dust, water and even high-pressure water spray. Not only that, the side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the phone works quite quickly and reliably.
Screen
The 6.7-inch AMOLED screen of the phone supports a
120 Hz refresh rate. As a result, scrolling and animation can be done smoothly. The bezel is so low that the screen-to-body ratio gives the phone a flagship look. The screen is bright enough to watch video content even in direct sunlight.
Capability
The phone, which runs on
Magic OS based on the
Android 16 operating system, has a 4-nanometer Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor, so you can do multiple tasks at the same time and play games smoothly. However, when playing large games for a long time, the phone has been seen to experience slight frame drops and temperature increases. That is, although the phone is suitable for playing normal and medium-level games, it is not very suitable for hardcore games.
Camera
The
108-megapixel camera on the back of the phone can take good quality photos in natural colors. There is an advanced ‘
night mode‘ for taking photos at night or in low light, which reduces image noise and increases clarity. For selfie lovers, there is a 16-megapixel camera on the front, which is enough to take good quality pictures. However, while many mid-range phones have a telephoto lens, the Honor X9D model does not have the lens. Also, video recording is stable, but not as good as flagship quality.
