We have heard the word ‘nature‘ so many times that we have forgotten to feel its greatness.
It is all around us, yet do we really see it? Our minds are so burdened by the noise of the streets, the pressure of studies, the violence of economy and politics that nature has become a silent spectator in our lives. When is the time to turn our eyes to it?
But is nature as simple as we see it?
We all know that trees have life. Yet to us, trees are just speechless objects. Even if they give shade, they do not demand gratitude, even if they give fruit, they do not ask for any price, and even if they are cut down, they do not protest. As long as the tree lives, it only gives silently, selflessly.
This ‘immortal’ being can teach us the biggest lesson in life. Is its so-called foolish behavior actually foolishness, or a silent message of supreme intelligence for us? Have we, who claim to be wise, really understood this silent message of nature?
The Creator has created this nature and every element of it for us in a very skillful way. So that we do not only enjoy it, but also learn from it. Every tree, bird, cloud or river is like a living textbook. Therefore, the beauty of this perfect creation is not just for viewing; we need to observe it, appreciate it, and spread the knowledge and inspiration we get from it in our thoughts, actions and inventions.
Have you ever looked deeply at your hands?
Did you notice anything sharp, sharp anywhere?
No, I am not talking about nails. Something else?
Probably not. Then the question arises, why did nature not put anything sharp in our hands? Did she make a mistake?
Or is there a deep truth hidden in this innocent design?
Let us now turn our eyes to nature outside. A lion’s teeth, an eagle’s beak, or a bush covered with thorns are certainly sharp. But nature is mostly smooth and curved. The flow of rivers is curved, the branches of trees are spread, and the edges of mountains are rounded. Why is that?
Maybe nature knew that sharp things are temporary, that they break and decay over time. That is why she has put durability and patience in her design.
So when we build modern buildings, why do we see so many straight, sharp corners there?
Look at ancient structures. There are many curved, rounded structures. Did they realize some truth that we have forgotten today?
Come back to your hand. Spread your fingers as far as possible. Look at the spaces between your fingers. It seems as if a tree trunk has burst out of the ground. Are your fingers, your hands, made of some secret mold of nature?
Have you ever seen a four- or five-story building standing on just one pillar?
Probably not. Because architects know that to maintain balance, the foundation must be strong and wide. But look at nature. How can a tree trunk, which you can gently hug if you want, carry the weight of such huge branches and leaves?
Is it just because of its roots?
Look at the cross-section of a palm tree and a steel rod. There is a strange similarity in the structure of the outer and inner layers. If you put a tree trunk and an iron rod under a microscope, it is difficult to easily tell which is which. Because the basic principles of their structure are almost the same.
Now think about the human skull. You must have seen pictures of skulls in books. You may even know the names of the different bones.
The question is, why didn’t the Creator make this skull in a single piece?
Instead, He divided it into different pieces. If you have ever seen tiles laid, you will notice that there is a space between each tile. There is also a space between the bones of the skull. The purpose of both is almost the same: tolerance, stability.
Many may be thinking, ‘This man keeps insulting us one after another.’ No, my purpose is not to insult. Rather, I am trying to open your eyes and show you that every bend, every branch, every shape, everything in this silent nature has hidden unspoken knowledge. Maybe nature has the answer to questions that we have not yet learned to ask. This knowledge can help us build life, build civilization, and move forward on the path of innovation.
But the question remains, how do we learn this lesson of nature?
Because no one has told us how to learn from nature. That is exactly why, we are going to start a new journey, a series of series, where we will try to understand nature step by step. We will find out why nature is like this, what is the underlying reason for every creation, and how the best inspiration for our future is hidden within this perfect design.
